a cynic is needed.
don’t fret for the poet –
exploitation is everything.
don’t wallow in books for very long,
for they’ve turned out a fake or two.
hunger, passion and interpretation
are all dangerous spawners
in regards to the written word.
sympathy and bad company
enounter each for good reason.
disappointments always follow the lucky ones!!
I really like the tone here. I like how it tells us to “dig deeper” and then later says “don’t wallow in books for very long”, and I love the ending!

i knew you were into the music and caught that, but missed the part about soundcloud. i haven’t been to the victory cafe to read yet, but i was there with a classmate and checked it out. i do a lot of readings in erie though. i do want to get to the victory cafe as one of my poet friends runs the poet’s hall in erie has been there and said it is a great place to go. yes, digging deeper is what it is all about…:))

i’m certainly happy that you have found your niche in life. yes, that would be cool if you could here me read there. i’ll have to check all of that out online as to when they conduct their readings. as to soundcloud, i’ll check that out. i’m getting much better at delivering my poetics. i do have to get to bed here as the forklift calls at 7:00. it was great to have this little dialogue.
